Okay, it’s in Arizona and on top of that, it’s on a 3,000-acre ranch.

Sound like a boondoggle? Nothing could be further from the truth.

We’re in Arizona and on a ranch for a reason: it is simply the best learning environment I’ve encountered in my 30-plus years of teaching. For centuries, others have gone to desert regions for insight and wisdom. And so do we. The desert helps us to see and its silence helps us to think. You’ll be at the White Stallion Ranch, in the Sonoran Desert, about 18 miles north of Tucson. The White Stallion Ranch is a 64-year-old family-owned guest ranch at the base of the Tucson Mountains, adjacent to the Saguaro National Park West. A perfect setting for thinking strategically. The White Stallion isn’t a resort, but it has all the amenities and then some. It’s not big, but it’s not small either. It’s just the right size. The White Stallion has been named one of the nation’s premier guest ranches by National Geographic Traveler and everything about the place is perfect. Be sure to check their web site: www.wsranch.com. But like our site, it doesn’t begin to convey everything about it. We both tend to understate and hopefully, over-deliver.

In Dialogue, you’ll learn from everything–the desert, horses, and each other. We incorporate the environment into the Workshop itself–why else hold it where we do? We’re not your normal conference; we’re a Workshop where you’ll learn from your surroundings–and you’ll learn by doing, not by being told. At Dialogue you won’t be elbow-to-elbow with scores of others. You’ll have plenty of hands-on involvement and you’ll learn and share equally with your fellow participants.

But don’t for a moment think this is some lark of a workshop. We’re up early in the morning and we work into the evenings. This is not a 9-5 conference, but a total immersion into the tools and the environment you are in. You’ll work hard and long, but you’ll enjoy and learn from every moment of it.

And if your idea of the desert is nothing but sand, then you’re in for a surprise–the Sonoran Desert is lush with life and this desert environment has much to teach us, if we’ll silence ourselves long enough to listen.

Every spring, there’s an advanced Master Class for alums only. See for yourself why our alums rave about Dialogue in the Desert!
