Register NowWhat is Dialogue in the Desert?

Dialogue is a five-day Workshop that gives people at all levels valuable tools to help them think strategically, plan effectively, communicate persuasively and lead from a place of focus and confidence. No matter what business or organizational issues you are faced with—ranging from Employee Engagement to Change Management or from Six Sigma to Customer Care Initiatives—Dialogue gives you the tools to build an effective communication strategy around the issues you are facing.

But you'll also find that Dialogue goes beyond just creating strategies and tactics: the Workshop also gives you solid tools for being more influential and persuasive with others and for dealing with resistances. No other workshop offers such a compelling and real-world platform that is essential for success in today's organizational world. Dialogue is the first and is the longest running strategic communication thinking workshop in the field.

No Other Workshop Delivers Like Dialogue in the Desert. Here’s Why.
A strong statement, but one voiced by virtually all our 2,000 alums. The reasons are many: First, Dialogue gives you extremely powerful thinking, planning and leadership tools that apply to any function, any industry and any organization. Second, it gives you the time needed (5 days) to roll up your sleeves to practice and learn the tools. Third, you are part of a small group–never more than 16, normally 10-12, not hundreds of other conference-goers. Fourth, you’ll work your issues, not someone else’s. Fifth, you’ll have an interactive agenda that is never boring or slow, content that engages, inspires and involves you every step of the way, and value that lasts for years afterwards.

You’ll learn from the tools, from your fellow Dialoguers and from the desert itself. A total and complete learning experience that you simply can’t get from a typical big city conference environment.

Dialogue in the Desert is about people, organizational influence and change–the elements that drive one’s plan. It is about bringing who you are to what you do, and what you do to who you are. The result: you’ll return with instantly usable tools that give you greater focus, confidence and authority to help you advance your agenda--and your career.

Everything about Dialogue is hands-on, interactive and participative. Each day is different and full. You’ll work long and hard, but you’ll have immense fun. You’ll sort out and take in. You’ll work your organization’s issues using our tools and mapping processes. You’ll leave with new ways to think about lingering issues, a tested, proven and solid planning process, and the know-how, the tools, and the leadership abilities to make the right decisions to make the right things happen.

By the end of the week you’ll be energized. You’ll be eager to return to apply what you’ve learned, but you won’t want to leave. Chances are you have wanted to come to Dialogue for years. Can you really afford to wait any longer?  There is no other workshop that delivers like Dialogue–and no other workshop is as reasonably priced. Take the initiative and register today for learning that lasts a lifetime. It can be the best thing you do for your company–and yourself–now and for your future.

Who Comes to Dialogue?
You’ll be in a diverse group during your Workshop. Chances are, your session may have people form corporations, nonprofits and the entrepreneur world, and from a variety of positions and backgrounds. This diversity gives Dialogue its rich texture for everyone is a consultant to each other. We believe that you should come to share what you know to be true and be open to learning from others.

Dialogue attracts people from all over the world and from many different experience levels.

For example, managers at all levels–ranging from practitioners to project managers and from corporate communications to engineers–find the tools impactful.

People outside the corporate environment benefit as well: orchestra managers, government and nonprofits, and individuals in business for themselves have participated.

If you want to improve your thinking, planning and leadership, then Dialogue is for you.

If you want to improve your own interpersonal communication, influence and persuasion with others, such as with your employees, clients, and your boss or with senior management, then Dialogue is for you.

Tell Me More…
A plan is only as good as the thinking that goes into it. There are workshops on planning, but to our knowledge, we are the only workshop in the profession that addresses strategic thinking and communication. For the past 30 years we have honed and fine-tuned a process that helps you think strategically and make better decisions–and do it when there is never enough time to think and plan. Our “Improvisational Mapping” process shows you how to think effectively and on the spot. Let’s face it: today’s fast-paced world requires you to think on your feet. Our mapping process give you not only the way to do that, but the confidence to go into any situation and be able to think in a clear, focused and strategic manner. The result? You’ll make better decisions–isn’t that the purpose of strategic thinking? And you’ll be able to apply our strategic thinking process to your own professional development.

When you leave on Friday, you’ll have a framework of a plan already in place. But as you know, the issues you face constantly change, so it does little good to develop a plan for one issue and then not know how to think and plan around other issues. This is where Dialogue sets itself apart. You’ll be able to apply our strategic thinking and planning process to issues as they arise in your company–and in your life. Once you learn our process, it stays with you a lifetime.

But that’s not all. Being able to influence and persuade others to accept, buy into and align to your plan is another challenge entirely. At Dialogue, you’ll learn valuable techniques for influencing and persuading others–from employees to senior management. In this, Dialogue has no equal. If you want a seat at the table, you must be influential and effective in presenting and “selling” your case. In Dialogue you’ll practice this–all within an environment that builds on your strengths.

Everything about Dialogue is about leadership, change management and employee engagement. We give you a new way of thinking about leadership–and the tools to lead. The result? When you leave, you’ll be more focused and confident in your abilities–and amazingly, others will begin to see you differently.

Isn’t it time to make this the year you come to Dialogue in the Desert? Can you afford to wait any longer? I hope to see you in the desert for learning that will last a lifetime.
